A really nice man and loved by his family.  It doesn't get much better than that in this life.  May his loved ones find comfort in recalling his life.

My father, Rockwell Stafford, had no better friend than Joe Carrier.  Joe was a man of many talents, and he used them well.  I remember at my father's wake he said to me "I look at your Dad's hands and just marvel at how much work they did in his lifetime"
I will never forget that, such a wonderful statement that helped me grieve.
The community of Cuba/Olean has lost a wonderful man, but I trust his children and grandchildren will carry on his legacy of humble, honest and faithful service to the community.

My sincere love, sympathy and condolences to the Carrier Family!  Joe was and is my friend and brother.  Over the years we have spent many hours working for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!!!  Joe was truly a "Super" Christian Gentleman!  He loved, Jesus Christ and he loved his family!  On more than one occasion he told me that he did not want to go to Heaven if his family was not going to be their too.  We prayed about that and then we made a pact, no matter what this earthly life threw at us, we were going to meet on the other side of the Jordan and spend eternity enjoying the love, peace and happiness with Jesus Christ.  Joe is asleep now, but he will be awakened at the second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and i will meet up with him on the other side of the Jordan and it is my prayer that the Carrie family will be there too.  Respectively submited with the love of Jesus Christ.

Diane, David and Daniel, my heart truly goes out to you and your families.  Your father was one of the best people I ever knew. My memories of him and your mother, and the sledding parties and maple syrup over snow, memories from church, and visiting with them after I grew up and moved, are held dearly in my heart.  Diane, I still see a picture from VBS one year.  I have a copy somewhere.  I think you have a crown on your head.  You were blessed to have such a wonderful father.  I look forward to meeting your parents when Jesus comes.  What a day that will be!

I wish to send my condolences to the whole family.  Joey was a really great friend of my fathers and they spent many hours working on our house in Cuba.  He was a really great guy and I really liked him a lot.  I was saddened to hear of his passing.  Know that he is in heaven with my Dad and they are having a good time being together again.
